Some pics I took on the Strip

Since it seems that you liked the previous pics of Las Vegas I will post more. I drove down Las Vegas Boulevard commonly known as "The Strip," and took a bunch of pics for all of you. Las Vegas Blvd. is a street that runs North and South through the center of Las Vegas. This is the street where all the famous casinos are located.



This is a pic of The Excalibur. For the most part all our casinos are themed after one thing or another. This casino is themed after King Arthur and the knights of the round table. If you look carefully at this pic under the red tower in the center you can see a statue of Merlin with his arms spread out as though casting a spell.

Here is a pic of The New York New York. As you probably may have guessed it is themed after New York city complete with a 1/4 scale sized Statue of Liberty, and full scale size working model of Coney Islands most Famous Roller Coaster. This ride is fun, I've been on it many times

Here are some pictures of The MGM Grand Casino. It is owned by the same company that owns MGM Studios that makes movies. In the front of the casino is a giant gold plated Lion which is the companies logo. You'll have to forgive me if it is kind of blurry, I am not the best person with a camera and plus my digital camera is a bit old

Here is a couple from the Monte Carlo. The Monte Carlo is filled with a lot of beautiful Statues and art work. Perhaps on another day I will go inside and take pictures of some of it for you. But unfortunately for todays posting I just was just driving down the strip, so all this is shot from my car

This is a shot of the sign for The Paris. If you couldn't guess by the name, it is designed after Paris, France. I have not been inside this casino but according to my friends it very nice and like the Venetian it comes equipped with something similar to the canals, only here it is called the Tunnel of Love. Instead of being driven on a gondola you are on a self-driven boat that takes you through a dimly lit tunnel while romantic music is playing. ..... use you imagination

This is a couple shots of one of my favorite casinos. The Bellagio. This is one of the nicest resorts on the Strip. I look forward to going there to take some pics for you. It has some of the most beautiful gardens and statues in Vegas.

Perhaps not the most interesting pic. This is the sign for the Flamingo Hilton.

Here is a shot of the Mirage. There is a beautiful fountain out front, I know my picture is kind of bad, I'm sorry for that.
